Our History

The present church of St Margaret & All Saints dates from 1876 when the building was constructed under the direction of Father Browne, the Parish Priest of the time. The style of the church is 12th Century French Transitional Gothic.

St Margaret’s Convent Chapel in Bethell Avenue was built in 1931 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary and was consecrated by Bishop Arthur Doubleday on 30th May, 1931.

Saturday 6:30 pm at St Margaret’s, Barking Road
Sunday 10am at St Margaret’s Convent Chapel, Bethell Avenue
Sunday at 12:00pm and 6:00pm at St Margaret’s, Barking Road.
